What Is Crossfit ?
Always first comes to minds of everyone new to this sports, when you comes from the place that noone knows soccers, then the answer to the question what is Soccer is also quite complicated to answer, Crossfit has even more complex explanation because we should also explain what is Functional Training and Met-cons, so I will start with something I really like to start about explaining Crossfit, it comes from Crossfit journal about Understanding crossfit, it also on manual book when you are taking Crossfit Instrcutor exam and it also printed on the T-shirt that crossfit gave if you're on the Instructor course, so we begin with "constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement", FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT, usually theoretically it's a long word, but I guess you're not here for a lecture so I just make it simple, it's a movement that mimics everydays movement or we can say a natural movement that human use, for instance squat, lunges, jump, deadlift, pull up, etc, if you're not used to squat, everytime you squat will makes you tired, while when we used to squat, it's a way to rest when there's no chair around and too dirty to sit on the floor, it also similar to jumping, first jump (after maybe a long time ago since your last jump) will use a big effort and after a while you'll feel more and more easier to make a jump, it's not that you get stronger, but your body learn to use the "core" and multi joint (I prefer to say body mechanics) more efficiently, so functional training will make your move easier, so you can move faster, lighter, quicker and so on. Aside of that Crossfit also put weightlifting in the program, will anyone believe that weightlifter is not only strong but also flexible ? try to stand with close knee (so the knee touch each other), put your both hand overhead side by side (also touch each other) then squat and try to keep you hand touched and overhead, after this you might realize that weightlifter is flexible, so Crossfit add this exercise to the program to make you strong and flexible, then gymnastic, don't need to explain, it's a great sport, it's body control with more flexibility and core strength, then Body Weight training, of course, we bring our body everywhere everyday. Wallball, it crossfit way to accuracy, core training(again) and help you learn some weightlifting movement in a safest way, wallball is heavier than PVC pipe that we use for learning weighlifting movement. KETTLEBELL it's my main area, with Kettlebell itself you can achive more than 70% of your functional training. And 1 last thing I really like from Crossfit is an open source, you can add thousand of Functional training movement and equipment such as Tyre Hammer, Tyre Flip, Ropes, Suspension trainer, Resistance trainer etc.

Why Crossfit ?
Did you got result from your previous workout ? Did you get tired of everything that your gym offer (special treatment, nutrition and diet consultation, supplementation, etc) which cost you more and more money ? if you are a person who's looking for a lifestyle, comfort, luxurious, glamorous place and not looking for any achievement, then probably you better stay at your gym, Crossfit is not a lifestyle, no conversation during workout, no sitting on a bench and texting (while other might need those bench for workout) , no screaming out loud while lifting 10kgs chest press, it's completely 20-40 minutes of wokout, hi intensity (no resting during), get a better result , in your body shape, in your other sports and in your life.

Crossfit better than Bodybuilding ?
This is a question that I heard the most, you don't want to eat your steak with a chopstick, it's a different area, Body Building is a sport, hardcore one, when you did a Chest workout sometimes it can't consider as Body Building, it's a weight training, because bodybuilding is more than that, you're not screaming and lifting 20kgs for Squat and consider yourself as a bodybuilder, being a bodybuilder need a lot more effort than you can imagine and body builder only train to build their bodies, they don't care about other aspect such as agility, flexibility, speed, mobility, they're not fighter, what they try to achieve is body symmetrical and the beauty of their muscle, so if you're not thinking to be a huge bodybuilder or maybe compete in Bodybuilding tournament, why sacrifice you flexibility, speed, agility, muscle endurance, mobility, it really hard to move with those big muscle in your body, so nothing better, you just decide what you want to achieve.
As a beginner what we will learn in Crossfit ?
First we will teach you how to use your core, we teach you to squat, step up the box, jump the box, lunges, start with the simple ones and try to make you do it right, no weight involved.
Second is Deadlift and Hi-pull also no weight involved
​Third is Medicine Ball Clean
And the fun part, Kettlebell








It's the part of being beginner, we also create simple WOD (I will explain later in this FAQ about WOD's) for 20-40 minutes



WOD (Workout of Day)
​​It's a list of workout that we perform for a session, we create, calculate, counting so your body will be trained in all aspect needed, WOD is not something that we create by random pick from Crossfit database, it's much more complicated than that, if your trainer create good WOD's, then with a good rest, good nutrition, you won't feel exhausted and weaker (consider that you're working out for 3 days on and 1 day off). WOD is created to make improvement of your performance not on the contrary. WOD is not circuit training, I'm not starting any argument but it's simply not the same.
